Making a recipe for this CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE SKILLET has been on my agenda for agessss. But, I finally got around to doing it and boy what was I wasting my time on before cuz this skillet is where it’s AT!
I filled up with all the best grain-free, paleo, and dairy-free ingredients to make this treat perfect to indulge in without the excess carbs and added sugars. A couple bites of this (or maybe the whole thing) doesn’t make you bloated or spike your sugar like the classic pizookies. This guy is composed of just 5 INGREDIENTS–almond flour, an egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and baking soda and it tastes SO GOOD!!
No joke ate the whole thing in one sitting, good thing it’s filled with tons of protein and NO OIL!! It’s basically a superfood, I mean how could you not give it a try??
1/2 cup nut butter (I used cashew butter)
1/4 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup almond flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup paleo chocolate chips
In two separate bowls, combine the wet and dry ingredients, then pour one into the other and fold.
Add in the majority of the paleo chocolate chips (saving a few for topping) until just combined.
Transfer the mixture into a 8.5 inch cast-iron skillet and add on the chocolate chips and any other desires toppings.
Bake at 350F for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
